Dr. Dąbek began his professional career in 1980 at the Institute of Obstetrics and Women’s Health in Lublin, where he completed an internship and obtained a doctoral degree.
In 1990 he left for Africa. For the first two years he worked in two hospitals in northern Zambia as a gynecology and obstetrics consultant, then moved to Botswana where he worked as a specialist at the Marina Referral Hospital in Gabrona. Also in Gabrona, as Team Leader of the “Safe Motherhood” program (sponsored by UNICEF), he trained doctors and nurses in the field of perinatal complications.
In 1996 he returned to Poland. He worked at the Faculty of Family Medicine at the Medical Academy in Lublin and at the Infertility Treatment Clinic. He also gained professional experience at Caithness General Hospital in Scotland and Blackpool Victoria Hospital in England.
In 2008-2012 he lived in Spain. He organized and headed the Department of Surgical Gynecology at La Real Fundaccion Hospital de la Reina in Ponferrada, in the province of Castilla Leon (founded in 1942 by Catholic kings to assist pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela).
He has been working in British hospitals since January 2015. He is a member of The Royal College and Collegio de Medicos de Espana.
