Dr Ivo Donkov

Dr. Donkov specializes in lower urinary tract issues, benign prostatic hyperplasia, andrology, and general urology, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of:

• Prostate, testicular, and penile disorders (including penile curvature and tight foreskin)
• Urethral, kidney, and bladder conditions in both men and women
• Andrology problems – erectile dysfunction and infertility
• Voiding difficulties
• Incontinence
• Hematuria (blood in urine)
• Hematospermia (blood in semen)

He is one of the first urologists to introduce the minimally invasive Urolift system for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and has extensive experience in this field.

Dr. Donkov has received extensive training and certifications in urology from Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the United States. He obtained his medical qualifications from the Higher Medical Institute in Sofia, where he also earned his doctorate and habilitation degree. He also completed fellowships at UCLH, the University of Leuven (Belgium), and the University of California, Irvine (USA) in Orange County. Additionally, he trained in Spain at a center specializing in BPH management.

Dr. Donkov is a member of the European Association of Urology, the Endourological Society, and the International Continence Society.
