Over the last few years, medical aesthetics has grown and developed into a specialised form of advanced clinical skin-health care. On one hand, it may be introduced with preventative medical intentions, such as in the treatment of overweight and obesity. On the other hand, medical aesthetics can be used for cosmetic purposes, such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy, hyperhidrosis, and chemical skin peels. Aesthetic medicine enables both women and men to have a choice in how they manage and address a variety of skin conditions without the use of surgery – avoiding its high costs and the risks involved.
