Precision implant placement with surgical loupes
Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth — looking, feeling, and functioning just like your natural teeth.
Implants are custom-crafted to match your natural teeth in shape, size, and colour. Nobody will know the difference — not even you.
With proper care, dental implants can last 20–30 years or more. Unlike dentures and bridges, there’s no need for regular replacements.
Implants are the only tooth replacement that stimulates the jawbone, preventing the bone loss that occurs with dentures and bridges.
No food restrictions. Bite into an apple, enjoy steak, or chew anything you like — implants are anchored firmly in your jaw.
No slipping, no clicking, no embarrassment. Implants are permanently fixed, giving you the confidence to smile, laugh, and speak freely.
Simply brush and floss as normal. No special adhesives, soaking solutions, or removal at night — implants are part of your daily routine.
See why dental implants are the superior long-term choice for replacing missing teeth.

Our straightforward process ensures you know exactly what to expect at every stage, from your first consultation to your final smile.
Meet your implant specialist for a thorough assessment of your oral health, bone density, and suitability for implants. We’ll take digital X-rays and discuss your goals, answer all your questions, and provide a detailed treatment plan with transparent pricing.
⏱ 45–60 minutes
If required, any preparatory work such as tooth extraction or bone grafting is carried out. We use advanced 3D imaging to plan the precise placement of your implant for optimal results and longevity.
⏱ 1–2 appointments
Under local anaesthesia (sedation available), a small titanium post is carefully placed into your jawbone. The procedure is typically pain-free during treatment. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is.
⏱ 1–2 hours per implant
Over the next 3–6 months, the titanium implant fuses with your jawbone in a natural process called osseointegration. A temporary restoration may be fitted during this time so you’re never without a tooth.
⏱ 3–6 months healing
Once the implant has fully integrated, a small connector piece (abutment) is attached to the implant. This serves as the anchor for your permanent crown. Impressions are taken to create your custom crown.
⏱ 30–60 minutes
Your bespoke porcelain crown is fitted onto the abutment, perfectly matched to your natural teeth. The result is a beautiful, permanent tooth that looks, feels, and functions exactly like the real thing.

Everything you need to know about dental implants at SW11 Clinic.
The implant procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you should feel no pain during the surgery. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the experience is. After the procedure, mild soreness and swelling for a few days is normal and easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief. We also offer sedation for anxious patients.
With proper care and regular dental check-ups, dental implants can last 20–30 years or even a lifetime. The titanium post that fuses with your jawbone is extremely durable. The crown on top may need replacing after 15–20 years due to normal wear and tear, but the implant itself is designed to be permanent.
Most adults with good general health are suitable for dental implants. The key requirements are sufficient jawbone density to support the implant and healthy gums. Conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking, or certain medications may affect suitability. During your free consultation, our specialists will assess your individual case and advise on the best treatment options, including bone grafting if needed.
The complete process typically takes 3–9 months from the initial consultation to fitting your final crown. This timeline includes the healing period (osseointegration) during which the implant fuses with your jawbone. In some cases, immediate loading (same-day teeth) may be possible — your specialist will advise if this is suitable for you.
Dental implants are generally not available on the NHS, as they are considered a cosmetic treatment in most cases. NHS waiting lists for dental treatment can also be very long. At SW11 Clinic, we offer competitive private pricing from £1,500 for a single implant, with 0% finance options available to spread the cost. Our prices are significantly lower than Harley Street and Central London clinics.
A dental implant is the titanium post that is surgically placed into your jawbone — it acts as the artificial tooth root. A crown is the visible tooth-shaped cap that sits on top of the implant (attached via an abutment). When people refer to a “dental implant,” they often mean the complete system: implant post + abutment + crown. Our implant + crown package from £2,500 includes the complete tooth replacement.
