SW11 Medical & Dental Clinic is a private dental practice at 45 Lavender Hill, a few minutes’ walk from Clapham Junction station. Our GDC-registered dentists, dental therapists and hygienists look after patients from Clapham, Battersea, Wandsworth and the wider South West London area, seven days a week, with appointments available from 9am until 8pm on weekdays.
We are a private practice, which means we can usually see you within a few days rather than months, give you longer appointment times, and offer treatments and materials that are not available under the NHS. Every treatment plan is written down and priced before we begin, so you always know what you are agreeing to.

Dental treatments we provide
The prices below are our current starting fees and are taken from our full price list. A £50 deposit is taken when you book an appointment and is deducted from the cost of your treatment.
Check-ups and prevention
A dental examination costs from £65 and includes an assessment of your teeth, gums and soft tissues. X-rays are £35 for a diagnostic set. Hygiene appointments start at £120 for scaling and polishing, or £170 for scaling, air polishing and fluoride treatment.
Fillings and root canal treatment
White composite fillings start at £140 for a small filling, £180 for a medium and £220 for a large one; local anaesthetic is included at no extra cost. Root canal treatment starts at £420 for a front tooth, £470 for a premolar and £530 for a molar.
Crowns, veneers and dentures
Porcelain and zirconia crowns start at £850 and bridges from £850 per unit. Porcelain veneers start at £950 and composite bonding from £330 per tooth. Dentures start at £650 for a partial acrylic denture and £850 for a full acrylic denture.
Dental implants
Dental implants start at £1,100 for the implant, with the crown on the implant from £1,300. An implantology consultation is £120 and includes an assessment of whether an implant is the right option for you. Where more bone is needed, a sinus lift is £900 to £1,700.
Extractions and oral surgery
Tooth extractions start at £170, with surgical extractions from £350 to £550 depending on complexity. We also treat abscesses and remove stitches.
Whitening and cosmetic dentistry
In-clinic teeth whitening is £370, and home whitening kits are £190 for one arch or £290 for both. See our cosmetic dentistry options if you are considering a combination of treatments.
Straightening and children’s dentistry

Night guards for grinding
If you clench or grind your teeth, a custom night guard is £270 and protects your teeth and any crowns or veneers while you sleep.
Urgent dental appointments
If you are in pain, call us on 020 7223 5114 as early in the day as possible and we will try to see you the same day. An emergency appointment is from £80 and includes an x-ray, opening the tooth to relieve the pressure, and a temporary dressing. Full details are on our emergency dentist page.
Nervous patients
Dental anxiety is common and it is nothing to apologise for. Tell reception when you book and we will allow extra time, explain each step before we do it, and agree a signal so you can stop us at any point. For longer or more complex treatment, sedation can be arranged so that you remain relaxed and comfortable throughout.
How to find us from Clapham Junction station
From Clapham Junction station, leave by the St John’s Hill exit, turn left and follow St John’s Hill east for around 300 metres as it becomes Lavender Hill. We are at number 45, on the right-hand side, roughly a five-minute walk in total.
Buses 77, 87, 156, 345 and 452 stop on Lavender Hill within a minute of the practice. There is pay-and-display parking on the surrounding streets; the practice does not have its own car park, so please allow a little extra time if you are driving.
