Dr Yuliya Manova

Dr. Yuliya Manova is a specialist in endocrinology and diabetology with over 15 years of experience. She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria in 1998, and then obtained qualifications in internal medicine in 2004 and endocrinology and metabolic diseases in 2008, also in Sofia, Bulgaria.

From 2008 to February 2014, she worked as an endocrinologist at the University Hospital of Endocrinology “Acad. Ivan Penchev” in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the department dealing with thyroid diseases, parathyroid, and metabolic bone diseases. She also worked in a private center, handling various endocrinological and metabolic conditions.

Since June 2015, she has been awarded a clinical fellowship at University College London, specializing in endocrinology and diabetology, providing tertiary-level specialist services for the geographic area covering patients with various endocrinological disorders, such as pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, osteoporosis, calcium and phosphate disorders, vitamin D deficiency, polycystic ovary syndrome, early menopause, testosterone deficiency, lipid disorders, diabetes, and adrenal insufficiency.

Description

She has teaching experience, tutoring medical students and participating in local, regional, and international conferences with poster presentations. Yuliya is also a member of the British Society of Endocrinology, European Society of Endocrinology, and Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology. She approaches patients with special care and focuses on a patient-centered approach, working with empathy and professionalism.

She specializes in various endocrinological and metabolic conditions in the following areas:

Metabolic syndrome, including obesity, dyslipidemia, prediabetes, and diabetes
